Possessing exceptional technical aptitude and the innate ability to communicate and work well with others, the native of South Carolina’s “Dark Corner” region has worn every hat in the business over the past few years. From recipe formulation and equipment design to trade shows and sales presentations, he’s capable of doing it all!
Born and raised in Virginia, Paul’s passion for alcohol began at a young age in a household where beer was home brewed. He continued to pursue his interests by attending Johnson and Wales University where Paul graduated with a BS in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management with a concentration in Beverage Management. He also holds a WSET Level 2 Professional Certificate in Spirits. When he’s not working, he spends his free time combing his beard, panning for gold and playing with his pit-bull, Nola.
Born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Roxy has an extensive background in production management and customer service. As manager she focuses on providing a fresh and fun, yet classy atmosphere to the distillery. Her commitment to quality and authenticity continues to raise the bar, and has helped the Dark Corner brand gain international recognition. When she’s not manning the fort, she at home taking care of her daughter Hazel and puppy Pee-Wee.
A true Southern Belle, Casey’s background includes promotional modeling and high-end retail sales. At the distillery, she focuses on the bar and keeps it running like a well-oiled machine. Her bright smile, friendly personality and superior customer service ensures that every customer receives a one-of-a-kind experience. In her free time she enjoys working out and brainstorming on the next million dollar idea.
A lifelong native of Greenville, Lisa has been making sure customers receive the best service for over 15 years. Behind the bar, she is always ready with a warm smile and a wealth of knowledge to make sure your tasting experience is as fun and informative as it can be. She is passionate about her customers, always going the extra mile to make them feel right at home. In her spare time, she re-purposes, restores, and resells vintage items.
Tasting Bar Manager
Born in Ohio, but raised in the Carolinas. If his nose isn’t in a book, then he’s playing board games. He’s passionate for educating others about the history and science behind good spirits. Known to bother executive distiller Paul Fulmer with endless questions he’s happiest when learning. Be sure to share some information with him when you visit.
Originally from the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Lee grew to love the art of craft distillation after working in the bar and restaurant business for many years. His Love for quality spirits lead him to Dark Corner Distillery to continue learning what makes a superior whisky. In his spare time, Lee enjoys getting out on the Lake and teaching Aaron the true meaning of “Mise en place”.
Aaron hails from the South Carolina midlands. He attended college at Johnson and Wales University in Charleston where life in the kitchen fueled a lifelong passion for food and anything aged in barrels. When he isn’t spending the day picking up Paul’s personal items from around the distillery, he enjoys date nights at the Peace Center with his amazing wife Brittany, brewing beer, and making overly complicated tailgate food for Clemson games. He also wears a lot of black.
